The website www.spac.al was created by the Authority for Information on the Former State Security Documents (AIDSSH). The working group established by Order No. 22, dated 06.02.2023, within the framework of the 50th anniversary of the Spaç Revolt, in addition to other tasks and activities, also prepared the online page dedicated to the Spaç prison camp.
For the collection of materials, AIDSSH has used documents from its archive and the testimonies given to this institution by former political prisoners of the Spaç prison camp. AIDSSH has collaborated with the Ministry of Interior, which provided the archival Fund for Spaç, the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy, and the company “AlbBakër” Sh.A. The General Directorate of Prisons, as well as researchers and experts, also contributed during the preparation of the commemorative activities and publications for the Spaç prison camp.
The AIDSSH staff continues to work on updating the information and maintaining the website in order to create as complete and clear a picture as possible of one of the most notorious prisons and forced labor camps of the dictatorship.
