Files of the Special-Importance Object (ORV Files)

ORV files were created for objects of special political, economic, and strategic importance, as well as for those presenting risks of fire, explosion, and breakdowns that could cause economic damage and were often accompanied by serious accidents involving people. The operative officer who organized operative work in an ORV identified all the so-called “enemy elements” (as termed by the State Security), monitored all persons under processing for any tendencies, and was responsible for uncovering hostile activity.

This file contains two folders and inside are managed: the list of documents found in the folders, the list of operative workers, the list of collaborators, the list of persons under processing 2/A, operative control 2/B and contingent working at the site, the study and determination of key places and points of the ORV, the decision for creating the file, the security sketches of the object, the operative measures plans for securing the object, maps, and the history of the object which is updated from time to time. In the second folder are: the list of documents, the list of implications, the list of recorded events that occurred at the site which cause or may cause serious economic consequences, and other data related to analyses, reports, collaborator reports, important information, etc.
