Excerpt from the testimony of former political prisoner Hysen Haxhiaj given for AIDSSH. Hysen Haxhiaj, born on 1 March 1942 in Çorrush, Mallakastër. He was arrested on 12 December 1976 on the charge of “agitation and propaganda”. He remained 4 months in investigation detention. He was tried in 1977 and entered prison initially in Spaç, then in Qafë-Bari and in Durrës. He was released from prison on 13 October 1990.
