Excerpt from the testimony of former political prisoner Hysen Haxhiaj, given to AIDSSH. Hysen Haxhiaj, born on March 1, 1942, in Çorrush, Mallakastër. He was arrested on December 12, 1976, on charges of “agitation and propaganda.” He spent 4 months under investigation. He was tried in 1977 and was imprisoned first in Spaç, then in Qafë-Bari, and later in Durrës. He was released from prison on October 13, 1990.
