Excerpt from the testimony of former political prisoner Nevrus Golka given for AIDSSH. Nevrus Golka, born on 25 March 1945, in Mborje of Korçë. He was arrested on the evening of 10 November 1963 in the village of Dardhë, on the charge that he had attempted to escape, committing the crime of treason against the homeland. He served the sentence of 8 years of imprisonment. In February 1973 he attempted escape again from Pogradec. He was captured at the border and sentenced to 10 years of imprisonment. He served his sentences in Spaç prison, during the years 1968–1982.
