The works of pre-university education students participating in the national competition “We learn from the past – we act for the future”

During the years 2024–2025, the Authority cooperated with the Office of the Council of Europe in Tirana within the framework of the project “Strengthening Education for Democratic Citizenship in Albania”, financed by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida) as part of the initiative “We learn from the past – we act for the future”.

In the schools engaged in the Council of Europe project, a reading tour was conducted on the books prepared by the Authority for pre-university education, and the documentary “3 days of freedom”, produced by AIDSSH with the support of the CoE, was shown.

As part of this initiative, students were asked to create artistic works, which were included in the national competition “We learn from the past – we act for the future”, held on 8 July 2025 by AIDSSH, in cooperation with the Office of the Council of Europe in Tirana and the Ministry of Education and Sports.

The works presented here are the result of the commitment, talent, and reflection of students on the past, as a living message for building a more democratic future
